Speak Your Book is a brand of Youman Co LLC, a United States limited liability company located at 8735 Dunwoody Pl, STE N, Atlanta, GA 30350, United States. Youman Co LLC is the business responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is processed in connection with this website.

Partnership application. If you apply to work together through the "Apply to Work Together" form, we collect your first name, email address, a description of your book, where you are in the process, what you're hoping the book will make possible, when you'd like to begin, and whether you're prepared to explore a significant financial investment in professional support. We review every application personally; no answer automatically disqualifies an application.

Book Clarity Assessment. If you complete the free Book Clarity Assessment, we collect your first name, your email address, and your answers to seven guided questions about your book, your intended reader, your existing material, and what is getting in the way of writing it. From your answers, the site generates a personal written report using fixed rules and templates, not an outside artificial intelligence service. Your report is shown to you on screen when you complete the assessment; we do not email it to you.

Marketing consent. On both the application form and the Assessment, you can separately check a box to receive occasional marketing emails from us. This is optional and unchecked by default on each. Submitting an application or completing the Assessment never depends on checking it.

Five-Day Challenge purchases. If you purchase the Five-Day Challenge, our payment processor, Payhip, collects your name, email address, and payment details to process the transaction and deliver the program to you. We receive your name, email, and purchase confirmation from Payhip; we do not receive or store your full payment card details ourselves.

Technical and usage information. We collect standard technical information, such as browser type, device type, and which pages you visit, to understand how the site is used. We record this using a randomly generated session identifier stored in your browser's session storage, not a cookie, and it is not tied to your name or email unless you separately submit a form during the same visit.

Generate and display your Book Clarity Assessment report.

Process your Five-Day Challenge purchase and give you access to the program.

Send you marketing emails, but only if you separately opted in to them.

Understand how people use this site and improve the application process, the Assessment, and the Challenge.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Book Clarity Assessment answers, or any other personal information you provide to us, to train artificial intelligence models.

Partnership applications and Book Clarity Assessment submissions are each stored in their own separate, private Google Sheet, accessible only to the Speak Your Book founder, using a Google Apps Script integration connected to this website. Applications are never combined with Assessment submissions, founding waitlist records, or Five-Day Challenge customer records.

Five-Day Challenge purchases and payment information are handled by Payhip, our payment processor, under its own privacy policy and terms.

This website is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Our usage analytics, when configured, are recorded in a Supabase database.

We work with these providers, and no others at this time, to operate the Assessment, the Challenge, and this website.

We may disclose information in response to a valid legal request, such as a court order or subpoena.

Youman Co LLC is based in the United States. If you are visiting from Norway, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, and processed in, the United States, and possibly other countries where our service providers operate infrastructure.

Partnership applications. For applicants who do not become clients, we intend to retain partnership application answers for 6 months from the date of submission, separately from Book Clarity Assessment and Five-Day Challenge records. This retention period, and the process for identifying and removing applications once it has passed, are still subject to legal review and are not yet operating as an automated or fully tested process. If you become a client, information relevant to our work together is retained separately, for as long as needed for that engagement.

Book Clarity Assessment submissions. We retain Book Clarity Assessment answers and generated reports in Google Sheets for 12 months from the date of submission. Identifying and removing submissions older than 12 months is performed manually by the founder on a recurring schedule, not by an automated process.

Marketing contact information. If you opt in to marketing emails, we keep your contact information for that purpose for as long as your consent remains valid, and we periodically review inactive marketing contacts to decide whether to continue retaining them.

Five-Day Challenge and financial records. Purchase and payment records are retained by us and by Payhip for as long as required by applicable accounting, tax, and other legal obligations.

You can ask us to delete your information earlier, as described under "Your Rights" below, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

You can request a copy of the information you submitted, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time by contacting hello@speakyourbook.co. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you may have additional rights, such as the right to restrict or object to certain processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by contacting us directly or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect your Book Clarity Assessment report or any Five-Day Challenge purchase.

We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@speakyourbook.co.

Speak Your Book is designed for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Speak Your Book previously operated a founding waitlist that collected names, email addresses, and short answers about prospective customers' books and goals. That waitlist is no longer accepting new signups. We have not deleted the records of people who already joined it; those records remain subject to the rights and retention principles described in this policy, and you can still request access, correction, or deletion of your waitlist submission by contacting hello@speakyourbook.co.

We may update this policy as our offers develop or applicable law requires. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
